I love Bolt Actions.. In fact I usually will not buy any weapon that has not had its design on the Market 50 years or so..

My 1st love is Mausers.. But I have been known to have a couple of the ones you mentioned..

Dare I ask What is you favorite rifle that you own and why...???

I own a couple of Mausers, a K98 and a 1896 Swede and have had many more, but i'm sticking with the home team as my Favorites.
M1 Garand (1941)
M1917 Remington

ha ha Very Good choices as well as Patriotic -- Salute -- But I hope that your Garand is not Bolt action.. :)

All Beautiful rifles..

To be honest you have to consider the M1917 and M1903 to be of Mauser design.

Got a number of Turk Mausers, 1893, 1903, 1938... and a mess of other rifles from Nepali Martini Francottes through Yugo Mausers. Unfortunately I need to sell most because of declining health. Can't shoot any more and even have trouble cleaning them.

I have a single Mosin 91/30, and a close friend of mine has a Turkish Mauser that I've shot a few times. I'd really like to pick up a Gewehr 88 when I have funds available to and take care of prior financial commitments. I'd love to get more into old bolt action milsurp but the prices for everything seem to just keep on climbing.

Edit to add, holy cow my Arisaka sold for $ 1294 [smilie=eek.gif]
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.
