Corrosive clean up.
A big pot of boiling water, place the muzzle in the pot, push cleaning rod with a patch into the camber down and out the muzzle. Pull the cleaning rod, patch and hot water up thru the barrel. Repeat as needed. Usually only a couple of passes works.
Clean and oil like you usually do and check a couple of times ro assure you got all the salt out and there is no rusting.
