Got my AAC M4 back almost 10 months to the day. Mailed Dec 12th, got a call from the shop Sept 8th... Not bad considering I was being told it would be almost 2015 before I got it back when I called the NFA branch. /:f :ber _: [smilie=pdt_xtremez_30.gif]

Well, I finally called and got an update. Not really much more info than I had before

NFA Item: Thompson Machine DBSD (9mm compact suppressor)
Form Type: Form 4
Transferee Type: Trust
Forms Sent: 1 June 2014
Forms Received by BATFE: June 19, 2014
Check Cashed: 20 June 2014
Forms Pending: TBA
Forms Cleared: TBA
Form Received: TBA
Estimated completion (per phone call): Some time in March 2015

NFA Item: Thompson Machine QMF-CQ (45ACP compact suppressor)
Form Type: Form 4
Transferee Type: Trust
Forms Sent: 11 August 2014
Forms Received by BATFE: August 15
Check Cashed: 18 August 2014
Forms Pending: TBA
Forms Cleared: TBA
Form Received: TBA
Estimated completion (per phone call): Some time in May 2015

Ugh.

At this point I'm seriously thinking about sending out a Form 1 for a 45ACP UZI just to receive something in the meantime. At this rate, the paperwork would probably get here before either of the suppressors and I can start setting it up to use with the 45Cal suppressor.

Just picked up my M-2 carbine in paratrooper trim. It was a private in-state sale. Details:

1. NFA item: machine gun
2. Form Type: paper Form 4
3. Transferee Type: Living Trust
4. Forms Received: 4/6/14
5. Check Cashed: 4/9/14
6. Approved Date: 9/4/14

Five months start to finish. However, it took well over a month for the approved Form 4 to reach the seller after approval. Not to complain, as even with that delay it was still the quickest Form 4 turnaround I've experienced.

Mailed Form 4 (Trust) for an SBR on 6/13/14 and picked it up from the dealer about 10 days ago.

I was not expecting it until January at the earliest so I was impressed.

Well, after reading your post I was inspired to call my dealer even though I'd been told the first one wouldn't arrive 'till March. Wouldn't you know it, he'd received the first one and I could go pick it up. I won't be able to pick it up any time soon though, but I'll probably try this Saturday. Who knows, I may even get the second one before the end of the year.

I'll update the info as soon as I pick it up and can see when all the forms got signed.

Anyone else have this happen to them.
Mailed a form 4 in nov 2013. them I waited till around nov of 2014 to call the dealer to see if he had any information or if he could give me a number to call the Atf to see what the delay was. He informs me that he received the paper work with the stamp in Aug 2014. Man was I pissed. He said that he called but I found no record of the call on my phone list.

Did he call you on your cellphone? If he did like he says he did then you will see it on the history online. Regardless you got your stamp. Its just a principle thing if that would of happened to me.

you do realize that if your cell phone doesn't have service or not enough bars, or when your on the phone in an area with poor service, it sometimes goes straight to voice mail, the phone never rings and/or you never get notified ?? happens a lot out here in the sticks
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

He said he did call, but after checking my T-Mobile account I never saw a missed call from his number. In the end I got that stamp that's all that matters. /:f
