as of last week .....individual still at 5 months, trust was 13 months ..I suspect it was a slight slow down from the ThanksG holiday, haven't seen one approved since Dec 11 th , maybe Santa will fill my mailbox with them this week [-(

I counted last week and the shop still has over 120 pending.....I have one trust at 17 months and still pending as of just before Christmas, the customer keeps calling the ATF to inquire, so I suspect they are punishing him and burying his app each time he calls.....the ATF logs each inquiry, so if you end up being a pest and it takes longer you only have yourself to blame [-X

That is just awesome. The truly terrific part is that gov workers basically get a paid vacation. As I understand it, the go home for a day, week, month, however long but don’t get paid. Once the funding is straightened out, they go back to work and get back pay for all of the time that they missed. The only difference is that they sat home and did squat diddly.

As of Friday I personally spoke to an ATF agent working on paperwork for a trust can that I purchased in July of 2016. There was a question on paperwork, but everything was in order. She advised I should have it in less than a month.

yeah skeleton staff, I'd bet they spend most of the day answering calls from all those impatient pests that keep calling asking how long :ham'r

most of the contractors got sent home before Thanksgiving , thus why not many forms have been seen since early Dec

File as an individual or trust?

Individuals are now at 5 months but hopefully drop to 3 months.

Trust is not going so well, some take over a year, some less. Individual is definitely better at the moment. YMMV

Reading through some of these posts, it is clear that government incompetence is in peak form.
Also clear is the ridiculous intent of the government to regulate a piece of private property.
Are integrally-supressed firearms subject to the same rules?

Yes it still subject to NFA unless it’s not considered a firearm like muzzle loaders or Air rifles. Which the moderator/suppressor must be permanently attached to them. (See Maxim 50 from silencerco)

Individuals with cash checked at the end of August are now being approved [smilie=cheers1.gif] I’d say one more month before mine gets approval, looking at about 150 days for approval. I’m hoping that since I don’t have citizenship, it won’t delay the FBI background check longer than usual [smilie=012.gif]
