As Rent posted above, it will take some time to get it done but it will be done.
Perhaps in about 2 years.
Only if the government still can get their $200

Which I, for one, am almost ok with... the part I am not ok with is the eleven month time to review. Even three months is not cool.

This is the only hobby (some would argue sport) in which the government actively interferes with a safety device.

One thing I have always found is those who complain about the wait, always seem to be ......waiting.
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

Just received last suppressor 3 weeks ago. Setting up a new trust (there are reasons). Hope to apply for next SBR in the next week using Silencer Co form 1 assistance and machine for a Ruger Charger SBR once new trust has been completed.

Someone told me a local dealer is selling people suppressors, and telling them to come back in a week or two when the HPA passes to pick them up...

Hes going to have ALOT of angry customers...

The hearing protection act isn't passing this year, even with an astronomical miracle. The time people are waiting now will be long passed by the time it will get passed. Once it passes, cans will be non existent on dealers shelves for awhile. Anyone waiting til then is going to wait some more, or pay a huge "I want it now!" Premium. Not to mention tell be 1000 startup companies churning out the most unsafe pieces of scrap metal You be ever seen trying to capitalize.

Interesting to see major gun and gun accessory manufacturers/distributors are buying suppressor manufacturers or making their own. I believe S&W just purchased one and Blackhawk started making them...plus Ruger started making them too. It's like they are all expecting suppressor business to take off soon.

I wonder the same thing. My assumption is that they just want a piece of a growing market. 5 or 10 years ago, I only personally knew a couple people w cans. Now, some of the same friends have to decide which can they will take to the range because they have so many to choose from. It has become much more mainstream to own suppressors. I never had much interest in it until 41p rolled around.... suppressor industry is suffering because (a) everyone that could bought before 41f, (b) people are not afraid of an imminent threat from the president, (c) because they don't want to deal with the hassle and be on "a list" and (d) lastly, this thought that the cans may be removed from the NFA.

If cans are removed from the NFA list, there will most certainly be a massive shortage.... but will the world jump in to fill the gap in supply? Will Swiss, German, Italian, Austrian, Japanese suppressors become legal to import?

With or without HPA, suppressor sales will continue to grow.

Not counting on it, but hopefully it has a chance at some point. Considering how incompetent Washington is at anything, I'm not really expecting it anytime soon.

No matter, I'm still gonna place my order as soon as I know I'm going to be somewhere long enough for the paperwork to clear. Ugh. ](*,)

Moments after Paul Ryan used the words " on the shelf indefinitely ".....

I had my doubts since the beginning...anyone who waited is dumber than before ....anyone who hasn't jumped by now will never buy one [-(
Individual wait times are 4 to 5 month while trusts are steady at a year....
