Picture Thread (no Mossbergs allowed)

Post by Zarathustra » Mon Apr 16, 2007 7:34 pm

My Winchester 1300 Defender. 18", factory black, currently holding 5 magnum (3")+2 std and the sidesaddle. Added the heatshield, sidesaddle, and pressure switch mini-mag a couple of years ago. She's a closet queen until I find a place to shoot her.

I guess I still need to get a sling. And a fiber optic sight. And...... who knows what else?

And what is it about those Mossberg people? :-k

Here's a couple of my favorite non-Mossberg types:

Beretta 1201FP with ghost ring tritium sights. Same fast, reliable action as Benelli M1 Super 90 -- can get 5 shots off before the first hull hits the ground. Added a Benelli pistol grip stock to the lighter Beretta, resulting in great handling ... a Beretelli ??
Image

Norinco 98 with ghost ring sites, light, laser, and Remmy folder. This is my closet gun. Separate pressure pads for the light and laser are great for night intruders -- why shoot em when you can rack it, lase em, and watch em run !!

Thanks for the offer, but i have family comming in this weekend :)... sigh...

2 things sweep.....

1: Try Plain 'ol Skeet rounds (cheap crap from Wally world), see how it likes it. and Report...

2: How big is the port in the barrel for the gas system? Standard AK size? (possible lead build up if using 00 Buck with no wad? IE S&B 00)?

This is an elderly Remington 870 Wingmaster. I added a Scattergun Tech mag extension and big safety. I added a new Remington factory 20 inch rifle sight barrel.
The shotgun patterns well with 00 and #4 Buck, and puts Brenneke Slugs into a pie plate at 100 yards.

I gave this old Rem870 Express to my son. It has a Speedfeed police stock, stippled fore end, sidesaddle, fibreoptics front sight, and a barrel shroud to hide where the rib had been cut off by a previous owner.

I don't have $100 in the gun.

Why all the Mossberg hate?
"Men trained in arms from their infancy, and animated by their love of liberty, will afford neither a cheap or easy conquest." -From the Declaration of the Continental Congress, July 1775.

"Tyranny is defined as that which is legal for the government but illegal for the citizenry" -Thomas Jefferson
