Tactical light suggestions for Remington 870

Post by Gregh181 » Sun Apr 01, 2012 7:30 pm

I have a Remington 870 tactical and I'm going to be putting an Elzetta flashlight mount on it.

Looking online, the light Amazon recommends to go with it has some bad reviews when mounted on a shotgun. I can't afford to get Elzetta's light with it because its big bucks. I'm looking to spend around $40-50 on a decent light. Anyone have any good suggestions?

I don't. Have a light suggestion, but I know that whatever you put on it, we're gonna see a post the day after asking why your shotgun isn't working. [smilie=pdt_xtremez_13.gif]

I have a Surefire 6PX led flashlight on my 870 and it has held up to 50+ rounds of slugs and buckshots so far.
No broken led, no blinking while firing, etc. I think I paid $54.99 for the Surefire on sale at Natchez.

I have a cpl of surefire fore ends on personal and work guns one of them is about 10-12 yrs old the other is 7, the newer light rides in my patrol car trunk and neither light has ever failed me. They are kinda spendy, but when you take that initial cost and spread it out over 10 yrs or more, you will be glad you bought it.

Finally sprung for the Surefire forend, but I got the LED light which is shorter light wise and doesnt stick out as far. Runs great so far but I'm still trying to figure out the best sling setup for it.
