Glock 30S yay or nay

Post by Jeepsnguns » Mon Sep 11, 2017 10:14 pm

I'm thinking about buying one.
Any 30S (not the 30SF) owners want to chime in on their thoughts about this particular gun?

I have a Glock 30S and I love it. It is my favorite and is very easy to conceal with a PJ Holster I had made for it. I plan to always be in possession of a 30S.

How can you go wrong with 11 rounds of 45acp in a firearm that weighs less than 2 pounds? The G30S has been my daily carry for over 2 1/2 years. I carry ISW using a Sticky Carry holster. Very comfortable and easy to conceal.

It's my carry gun in a safariland iwb loaded with Hornady Critical Duty 220 gr +P. 10+1 .45 Will make a believer out of any bad guy. It's only a fraction bigger than my G27. 9+1 .40 or 10+1 .45. Your choice.

Another vote for the G30S.....but it is a "few" fractions larger than the G26/27/33 models. ;)

The 30S is smaller than the 30. It's the short frame 30 with the slide and barrel from the G36. If you want to compare length, compare it with the G36.

They also offer a 9 round mag for the 30S which gives you a flush fit.

Length of both the G36 and G30S are the same (5.91") per Glock

The picture shown is a G30 alongside a G27. Compare the G30S to the G27.

The slide is thinner - other than that, same footprint.
