Post by D_GUNNER » Fri Feb 17, 2017 5:35 pm

Can a conversion on a Sig P 226 9 mm,go to a 367 sig & 40?
What other 40 to 9mm variations can and cannot be made

Thank You

It seems the tacops and legion models are the only current 226 available in the 3 chamberings, no indication either way.....

If you get the Slide/barrel conversion kit yes but it won't just work with a 357/.40 conversion barrel alone.

Multi caliber firearms fascinate me.

I had a Sig 229 in 9mm with spare complete 40S&W upper plus spare 357Sig barrel and the complete 22lr upper. So one Sig 229 that could shoot 22lr, 9mm, 40S&W and 357Sig. I fired it few times and changed back and forth between calibers and they worked okay with minor feeding issue when using 40S&W. I also had a small issue of POA/POI when using 357Sig barrel in the 40S&W upper but not enough to worry about for self-defense use. It was neat but somebody I knew wanted the set so I sold it.

I have done same with Glock 17 with spare complete G22 upper and spare 357Sig barrel and Advantage Arms 22lr upper. This worked perfectly.

I also had one done on Glock 19 pistol and G23 upper in 4 calibers but I never fired that set before it was sold but the buyer said it works okay.

I have a Glock 21 which I'm going to get a spare G20 10mm conversion barrel and I already have a Advantage Arms 22lr upper. I'd be able to shoot 45ACP, 10mm and 22lr.

My P-226 Classic started of as a .22. I added Sig's Conversion Kits in .357 and 9MM and they all work flawlessly together.

The .22 of course was ammo sensitive and I wouldn;t use it for any real defensive purposes other than range training.

YThe 9mm is FLAWLESS with everything.

The .357 sig is touchy with my handloads, but very reliable with factory ammo.

If you can only have one gun......their conversion kits are very good, imho.
