I had a Walther PPQ but sold it when I was out of work for grub money. Well, happy days are here again, so when I saw them on sale for $469, shipped, (which is less than I sold my used one for) from Sportsman's Outdoor I ordered. And it was their last one!

Now the Waiting is the Hardest Part.

I also regret selling my "classic".
Thought I would rather have an M2 with the American style mag release.
The M2 and the mag release ended up not agreeing with me as my thumb would always end up on it and although it never happened, I feared I would drop mags...

I really like the paddle mag release. I find it easier and quicker to drop a magazine. It's funny that the "european" style mag release is either a dreaded heel release, or the brilliant paddle release--the worst and best systems, IMO.

I find the PPQ to be a marvelous firearm. I am partial to SA/DA hammer fired handguns (CZs and revolvers), but Walther did it right when they designed the PPQ. Ergonomically (grip, mag release, slide stop, ambidextrous), it is superb. The trigger is as nice as I've ever experienced on a striker fired pistol. It even has adjustable sights, which is pretty rare for a service pistol.
