The CS9 is mint with 2 mags, the air-weight not so much but they are two completely different platforms. The discontinued part and that replacement mags are quite pricey are the better parts of my reservation.

This is a DAO which from what I can find seems to have been were made specifically for NYPD. Think I'll leave it.
I always thought the 3953 and 3954 were the DAO models, I had a 3953 and sold it to a member here

Think I still got a mag or 2 laying around :-k
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

The 3953/3954 are DAO. The 3914 DAO was limited to NYPD and had double-strike capability (according to what I've read).
If you got some mags laying around I'd be interested.

My 3913(non-lady smith), works like a top. I could not find any standard 8 round mags, so I bought some 9 rounders.

They are sweet. I'm toying with the idea to get another 5906 but my wife keeps saying why would want another same gun? She just doesn't understand, lol.

However, I am seriously considering a 4506 also.

either Lake or Lorain County Sheriff in Ohio. It must have been a desk jockey or a detectives side arm, because there is hardly a mark on it, except for the slight wear on the beaver tail. Rifling is sharp, as well. I got the gun, a brand new Don Hume pancake holster ($60 on the web) and two, 12 round mags for $375. Since then I have added 3 more mags. It shoots great and is still very tight, so I will also guess it has not been shot too much.

Based on S&W info, shipped to the sheriff in 1995. It has a VDVxxxx serial number, so it is a fairly late production.
Here is the other side:

Finally found one of my "Holy Grail" guns last week.... The Mighty KelTec Sub2000.... in hard-to-find S&W 5900 series!
Image
I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, I did upgrade the sights and add a neoprene recoil tube cover.
I have had a Marlin Camp 9 for 10 years and like it very much. [ bottom in photo, takes 5900 series mags too ]

I've got a few as well:

My carry gun, a 5906 with Hogue grips in my Crossbreed holster:

3914 in a Bianchi Black Widow:

5946 Austin PD trade-in that I found in like new condition:

39-2 I found with box, accessories and paperwork at a NH gun shop:

I'm still looking for a 39 (no -2) in good condition as well as a couple others. I love these guns and think they're some of the finest shooting 9mm semiautos ever made.

Yep, the all-steel 39 is on my Bucket list too!..... never seen one where the guy selling it didn't want $2K+ and think it was made of Gold.... National Armory in Pompano beach has one that is at $2500 on Gunbroker and hasn't reached the Reserve! I guess it will have to wait there on the list forever.

Your lips to God's ears. I haven't seen one for a reasonable price in years.

I did, however, see a VERY rare Model 39 at an auction up in New England a year or two ago. It was a sample suppressed 39 made for the Navy back in the 1960s. It came with the original spec sheet and presentation box too.

There was no way I was bidding on it, there were only a few made and this one went for big bucks.

my 6906 with a Dura Coated frame. It has literally no wear on it at all. I just liked the frame black.

Nice! I wouldn't sell my 4506-1 for the world. I wish I still had my 5906 I sold a few years back.
