Nice Browning, if it were mine I'd be looking at some thin grips and take a drop of gun blue to the trigger pin to darken it up from when someone likely removed the mag disconnect.

The pin has been touched up. I really don't know what he was trying to do. It's the wrong pin to remove the mag safety. The pin to do that is on the trigger itself.LastRites wrote:Nice Browning, if it were mine I'd be looking at some thin grips and take a drop of gun blue to the trigger pin to darken it up from when someone likely removed the mag disconnect.

On older models you usually can remove the pin in the trigger and get the MG out, on newer models you have to yank the entire trigger out to remove it, and then replace the 3 coil trigger spring with the slightly stronger 2 coil trigger spring for better reset.

Thanks
Actually just went up to Hernando Sportmans Club for the first time, checked it out, and test fired it. Couple hiccups, but I think it will be good to go. Still have to get the tube hanger welded and a few other things finished up (paint, get a cheap red-dot), but it looks like it will be fun..
Now to finish up its 16" carbine big brother![He He [smilie=011.gif]](./images/smilies/011.gif)

It's CZ time!
CZ 75 (pre-B), chrome plate. Even prettier in person, and I just ordered thin blue aluminum grips from Cajun Works for it.

Re: Post your pics of pistols
Awesome, thank you.
How far have you taken it apart? I'm wondering what parts are MIM & what parts are tool steel? Honestly, I'm just wondering about the hammer & strut.

Re: Post your pics of pistols
pretty sure most of the parts are MIM
I know the following are because I just replaced them on a NM 1911
Hammer & strut
extractor
firing pin and firing pin block
mag release
safety and main spring housing ( not 100% sure ) , but replaced anyways
not sure what the hangup over MIM parts is anyways, but I usually ask the customer if they will want the old parts or cut them a deal to keep them, most of the time the parts are almost new

In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

Re: Post your pics of pistols
Haven't you noticed the absolute epidemic of MIM failures in the firearms industry lately?
Yeah. Me neither.
Late mergers should be shot in the face, then set on fire and hung from an overpass.
