6mm Lee navy ammo

Post by TheKernel » Fri Apr 15, 2016 11:14 am

Anyone know of a website that might sell some 6mm LEE Navy ammo? It's an obsolete round but hoping to find some for sale some where. Any help would be appreciated.

Wow. Hope you find some. Buffalo Arms has it, but only if someone is willing to pay $61.44 a box.

"This is currently loaded obsolete ammunition for 6mm Lee Navy (236 Navy) chambered rifles.
We load this using our reformed cases (#6MMLEENAVY) and Hornady Interlock jacketed bullets
(#HOB2440) 87 grain spitzer soft point. 2,625 fps."

I think if I wanted to shoot that one much I'd invest in reforming dies and roll my own. :-k

Brass is usually formed from 220 Swift, rim trimmed. Some folks just fire form annealed 220 Swift cases because the RCBS forming dies are very expensive.

Use light loads. DO NOT shoot reloads you haven't done yourself or aren't new rounds from a major supplier. You do not want the bolt through your face.

Thanks for the info. I really don't plan on shooting. I just want to have some original rounds for it to go with the gun. I'm probably going to wind up buying a couple of rounds off of gunbroker.
