I am jealous!

You'll find a ton of info here:

http://www.falfiles.com/forums/index.php

You can get general info by searching the posts and subforums, and most members are more than willing to answer specific questions, especially if you post pics of those good looking rifles.

Congrats and good luck.

just might have to wait forever for them to allow your account, but you can read at least, just not post...anything

Appear to be kit builds.....nice ones....with the exception of the para.....it "may" be a factory DSA built gun.

From top:

L1A1 (Inch pattern) on a Century Arms type 3 receiver

StG-58 on a Imbel "Gear Logo" type 3 receiver

L1A1 (Inch pattern) on a Century Arms type 3 receiver. Scope is a Trilux / SUIT on n original Commonwealth mount...

StG-58 on an Imbel (non gear-logo) type 3 receiver

Para on a DSA type 2 receiver

last is an Israeli HB on an Imbel "Gear Logo" type 3 receiver.

Nice haul.....Imbel and DSA receivers are great for builds......some of the century's are as well (Google "century unibrow receiver").

To be technically correct, the inch pattern/commonwealth guns should be on Inch-cut receivers......the StG's and Israeli should be on type 1 or 2 receivers, and the Para can be on either a type 1,2,or 3.

The difference between the types is primarily the external machining/contouring.....

7.5-8.5 K worth there.......imho.....look for any builders markings......like "Arizona Response Systems", or things like that.....guns assembled by pro builders command better money (our own Court Sweat included)

the only correction to be made is that the century receivers you have are actually imbels/argie that were imported by century to use as builds.. if you separate the lower from the upper you will see some letters stamped underneath the receiver... it could be imbel or argie imported receivers... all are very nice fals.. cbr

Good catch!!!

Looking at the full size pic, the 1st inch pattern gun is an Imbel, and the 2nd is a Canadian made Century receiver......

very nice , don't happen to have a spare gas block laying around anywhere do ya, I knew I should have bought some when they were like $ 2 years ago at Centerfire ](*,)
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

well, not Canadian made.. imbel/argie receivers were imported to Canada by century to be assembled there w/the thumbhole butt stock and neutered (import stamping, muzzle brake and threads cut off) and consisted mainly of l1a1/aussie kits then brought back in as a hunting ri-fal w/no U.S parts per import policies at the time. The receivers were cut for both inch and metric mags but metric in the lather end because the metric kits were now coming in and mags were less than $3.. I have 2 receivers marked the same way and they are imbels.. cbr

Rodman,

New to the FSN and just found your post. Did you ever put any of your FAL haul up for sale? I'm addicted and have 5 myself. Always interested in adding to the collection.
