FAL parts kit

I am trying to ID a FAL type parts kit; I am trying to find out what excatly I have.
I have all the parts except a reciever.
I will email picture if some one can tell me where to look. Thanks.

Hey Mini, I'm in Dade also. Cutler Bay.

Some things to look for:

Lower receiver - Look for electro pencil stenciling (maybe with RA or ZA).
Serial number - how many digits, any letters
Check the labeling on the selector. Is the far left an A or a lopsided D.
What is the overall finish, stove paint, grey park, baby poop?

Barrel: Look for proof marks on the flats at receiver end, are there any? Any other proof on the barrel forward of the flats?

Muzzel device: STG Combo, Imbel/SA style

Gas plug: does it have a flip up grenade sight, if not, does the plug have a lever on the side?

Is it an Inch or Metric kit? Folding charging handle or knob?

Wood furniture, if it's plastic is it smooth or peeble grain?

Lots of things to look at. Start with a general overall picture.

I can take a look and maybe we can figure it out.

if its an imbel kit, you might be interested to know that there is currently a group buy on imbel gear logo rec's in the falfiles marketplace for $400..that it an excellent buy for a fn licensed rec..Dsa has been having afew issues w/theirs but Dci is agood one but its a cast rec for $350..i helped One45 build his second fal, imbel on imbel and it came out sweet..took it to the range afterwards and its very accurate..post pics and let us know...cbr

Based on the pictures, I'm 99% sure you have got yourself an Imbel kit.

I'm familar with the group buy over on the FAL files, you may have to get on a waiting list at the moment.

Not a bad price for the receiver. Conan makes a pretty good receiver. Some posted a decent review overthere on a new DSA.

BTW, I have the tools and have helped other builders in the past. Lots of extra parts also.

the group buy was open to all orders because of a price increase in jan..so no waiting list..Dsa told us in a thread that the ejector block was changed and uses a inch type and the bolt release is now unsupported and looks odd..no big deal but the barrels time at about 9:30-10 and requires their small ls $60...cbr
