build #2 stared out as a cut down barrel i got for free from work....pieced it together from parts i got from different forums, all hung on a nds3.the perm attached break is something i made from a FAL break...wish i still had this one...made a dumb trade to a "friend"..told him if he ever needed $$,i would buy it back from him.i contacted him a few months ago and he had sold it [smilie=012.gif]

my last build was a kyber style ak...again a pristine 1986 romy g kit was used, but this time i used the dedicated nds1kp reciever.this pics looks super grey from the flash..its a touch grey, but not too bad in person...hoping to send it out to a guy for a russian style finish.

your wife's gonna kill you if you keep doing gun projects in the kitchen [smilie=011.gif]
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

I had waited till she was "going away for a few days" lol [smilie=021.gif] indeed the baking paint would not have been acceptible [-X

thanks about the wood. i really did like how the color came out. im likely going to sell them though as i just found a cheap Plum set i just installed.

EDIT: Hmmmmm maybe it does look better in the wood????? ](*,)

It's a difficult choice to be honest. I reckon you need two AK's now to accommodate the furniture.

LOL....if it werent my company just offering me a pay cut i would be building another. it was so nice of them .....(well at least compared to getting fired or laid off) i guess the next AK has to wait... :( but your right anbout personal choice. holding the gun last night the plum color is readily apparent in person and it too sure looks good LOL maybe ill change them each time i go shooting. i figure it will give me the impression of a new gun without actually being able to afford one. I cant even afford a cheap Kit right now.

7.62x39mm Mutt Sporter [smilie=042.gif] .

A mix of random parts, mostly Hungarian and Romanian, using up a bunch of super-cheap Saiga "take-off" parts most people toss after doing a conversion, on a hogged-out 5.45x39mm Receiver.

Still needs paint and I have to order the optics rail, but a rough German STG-940 clone in 7.62x39mm with a cold hammer forged & chrome lined barrel.
