For $1200 you could buy a new 6920, For $600 you could buy a new S&W or Ruger. I just don't see them selling many at that price. The last build I did came in at $534. That was a couple of years back.

they were $ 699 at grabagun 2 weeks ago, so $650 isn't that far off in today's AR race to the bottom market [smilie=011.gif]
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

What on this new gun would actually be made by at Taurus? They would simply buy the parts from the same vendors who sell AR parts to all the other AR assemblers. It seems every week another gun mfr is selling AR's these days. No matter whose name is on the guns, there's only a few mfr's making the parts. What would make their's stand out from all the others. At the gun shows where I work we do sell a lot of Taurus guns, but it's mostly the financially challenged who buy them. What vendor will come out next week with the "newest" AR-15? GARY

Hey, don't knock Brazil. I have a gorgeous Imbel FAL made in Brazil. Excellent quality. Some of the under $1000 Springfield 1911's had their parts made in Brazil, while being assembled here. Years ago, the Taurus 92's from when they were a Beretta factory were great guns. Now, they're a cheaper alternative for the credit challenged. GARY
