Good hunt yesterday!
My good friend Chae AKA Rug357 got the sow on the right and I got the other two. :ber

I got the gray one after an exciting stalk though the thick, head high brush. I could hear him moving ahead of me in the brush. Just south of the fence line he made the mistake of moving into the field, stopped and when he turned to see what was following. I got him.

My other good friend and #1 gate man Dano AKA boomboom ran out of Man Up pills, so he couldn't make it. [smilie=011.gif]

BTW couldn't post the pic of me because I some how had a smile on my face.

You guys needed that weight to help get through all the wetness out there and next time give Chae more than one round of ammo. Good job to both of you though.

Bagged this one (the hog, not my wife) yesterday morning. A month ago my wife said hunting was gross and she would never take part in it. After killing this pig, (I took the shot, she didn't have it in sight), she helped me drag it 200 yards through the swamp and throw it in the truck. Now she can't wait to go out and do it again!

Good job. Is she helping you eat it? My ladies in the house aren't meat eaters.

Nice pair. While nice to get size, the fun and excitement of the hunt along with taking meat home, is the goal.

The hog being dressed looks like the perfect size eater, according to the information I have been given over the years.

Yes, she's been a champ about it. I just got into hunting a few months ago, and we're both trying to get used to the whole wild meat thing. We're both big pork fans, and I spend most every weekend smoking some part of a pig. The wild hog does taste different (though not bad) and were still working on convincing our brains that there's nothing wrong with it - if that makes sense.

My four year old, on the other hand, can't get enough of it. He just likes to tell people he ate a pig.

Bill, I think Dano is wishing you would quit dicking with the camera and help him tie off this heavy ass hog. [smilie=011.gif]

That skin would make a nice rifle sling. I still kick myself for not saving the skin of the 4 1/2 footer that snuck up behind me several years ago.

We got this one at the farm Saturday.
It was about 5' 3" long and we were standing within 6 feet from it but it never rattled.
