Buffalo River canoe trip in Arkansas

Post by OKIE » Fri May 13, 2016 5:42 pm

My cousin invited me on a canoe trip on part of the Buffalo River in Arkansas, I see a canoe and many trips there in my future. We camped out 2 nights, and what a great time we all had. Imagine waking up in the morning to this.

They call this a gravel bar, but I call it a rock bar.

This was a 30 second timed exposure with only the fire light, the red and white dotted line is an airplane. Same ridge as 1st pic.

There's 2 canoes ahead of me, one almost around the point.

Try fisheatting creek down by lake oakachobee only one outfitter allows access to the river. I do a lot of 2 day paddle trips, its the best I have found in our backyard. That looks like one sweet trip.

My daughter gets to kayak the Buffalo frequently. Here is an article she wrote about it.
