Show your game cam pictures

Post by bfips » Mon Jul 23, 2012 4:37 am

Here are some game cam pics from the new lease in Glades Co. The cam was a $99 Bushnell from walmart. The cam died on the 17th and I had to return. Just ordered a Moultrie D55IRXT to replace it.

Yep,

Especially here in Florida / Everglades Environment you must have tuff weather proof game cams...

All my game cams are Predator -Trail-eye 5 MP trail cams with anti-bear and anti-weather case sealing with tac latch...

Each game camera did cost $ 250.00 a piece two years ago and still all work 100% on the farm...

5 MP or 7 MP will work great... 6 month or more battery life a must...

Tomorrow is Day #1 for the South Carolina season and I'm heading out to find this boy. This was snapped the other day where a buddy and I have a stand. Hopefully my next picture will be standing over him.

Yes sir, really pushing the envelope they are. They must not be able to read the no trespassing signs. I would post notes around the area indicating you know what they are doing, then maybe it will stop.

Do you have a bear season, or does this one get a free pass?

Season is December 1 - 15. Unfortunately, the process is fairly ridiculous IMO. I have to submit an application for bear hunting to the South Carolina Dept. of Natural Resources (DNR) for my resident county. Then each County DNR office pulls applications from the "lot" to award bear hunting permits for that season. If you're lucky enough to get drawn, you drop some money on the DNR and then head out on the 1st and hope he comes back to your plot.

I have an application in but I don't have my hopes up. I was afraid that this bear was going to chase off all of the bucks in the area but today there was a fresh pile of deer dung next to several day old bear droppings. And the buck that laid it brushed his antlers through the dirt around the bear droppings as well. So I'm hoping the bucks just stay in the area despite this annoying bear. I'm putting out a mineral/salt lick tomorrow.

We're only 7 days into the season and I'm already itching to get that 8 pointer. And my hunting buddy called me earlier to say a new picture came in with a new buck which is "as big as a cow" he said. [smilie=011.gif] We shall see.

@polo. Nice pic!

Once my dad finishes sifting through our over 1000 game cam photos from the last 3 weeks, i will post some up. We have a bear family coming through one area and lots of other wildlife.

We have two Bear families on the farm now with multiple cubs...

Both Momma Bears are easily pushing 500 lbs +... I noticed one momma bear on my trail cam that looks to have a tag mark or tracking collar...

The high water level now out in the glades and ( WMA's ) just east of the property have pushed the game to seek higher ground... Mainly the farm-lands and higher hammock islands...

I expect a wet heavy hunting season... Archery season now going into Muzzy loader season South Zone A

IF these bears dont move out, it will make the season pretty crappy. Since all the bears are coming around we have 0 deer coming through. i hope that maybe the cold weather this winter will push them out.
