Fortunately, I didn’t pay anything. But I asked these 3 specific questions to the ATF agents working at their table at the Palm Beach show. This was their reply. Were they lying to me? GARY

Re: SAF sues U.S. AG, ATF, FBI over medical marijuana 2A ban
The law is very specific.
If someone owns a bunch of guns, & applies for the card, can they keep their guns? Yes.
Can someone make a private purchase if they have the card. Yes.
Can someone make a purchase from a FFL, & fill out the 4473 if they have the card? No.
GARY.

Re: Used Car Buying in Fla
Years ago I was looking for a particular car. Looked on Craigslist, & found a dealer in Miami. The car was nice, but his fees were insane. As I walked out, the owner asked me why I wasn’t taking the car. I told him if he drops all the stupid fee’s, I’d buy the car, but he didn’t. So I walked. Ne...

Re: Going Postal!
If you skip to the last paragraph, it says the ruling only applied to that employee. We still can’t carry in the post office. GARY A federal judge over the weekend ruled the law prohibiting firearms inside post offices to be unconstitutional. In the case United States v. Ayala, Trump-appointed U.S. ...

Re: Going Postal!
I’ve often wondered if that law applies at my local post office where they rent space in a shopping center, vs the post office on Oakland Park Blvd, or in Hollywood where the Gov’t actually owns the building. Not that I really care though. GARY

Re: Flyers with No Party Affiliation Yet Republican Candidates
Crap, you’re right. Finally survived the onslaught of Medicare junk mail only to have election junk mail coming up. Well at least it’s not every year like the Medicare trash. Fortunately where I live, we have mail rooms where they provide 2 garbage cans to toss the “spam” mail so I never have to tak...

Re: Miami gun show now $17 to get in
In addition to the "base" 6% tax, they also have to collect the "discretionary" add-on sales tax some FL counties have. That’s another crazy thing about the shows. When doing a show with Khaled, we’d have a meeting before the show started. The first thing Khaled would remind eve...

Re: Miami gun show now $17 to get in
I’m sure Atlantic wouldn’t risk their business by doing something illegal. While Gunbroker may be collecting the tax, the FFL in the other state is not. Just like when I buy a 10 year old electronic device from Joe Blow on E-Bay, I’m charged tax, but the seller isn’t collecting it. E-Bay is. But I c...

Re: Miami gun show now $17 to get in
Can't really tell unless you actually submit an order. There is a tax line, but you may be right that that is only for in-state sales. Maybe they don't meet the FL $100k threshold? Seems unlikely to me, but.... I'll tell you, IN-STATE, the FDOR is the last people you want on your ass. They make the...

Re: Miami gun show now $17 to get in
I remember when that happened. All the FFL’s at the show breathed a sigh of relief that the playing field was now level. But if you go to Atlantic’s site today, you’ll see they are not charging tax for out of state sales. GARY.
