Re: Polar on Nexflix

I was surprised this movie was decent, even if a little cartoonish. It subverted my expectations in a good way.

Re: The NRA shitstorm

They don't actually care about winning. It's just a grift like so much of Conservatism Inc. If they were anything more they would've gone against Trump turning NRA members and his own supporters who owned bump stocks into felons with the stroke of a pen, as well as redefining what a machine gun is b...

Re: Need 1911 mechanic

I would call RIA and talk to someone there. I heard in the past they had good customer service. Not sure if that was/is still true.

That's sad. Was he the guy doing that AR-15.com thread about the guns and how they held up at his rental range?

Re: Highway Men

Gun shop scene was fun but part of me was like "A country gun shop having that kind of firepower at that time? YEAH RIGHT."

But it was good movie overall.

Re: Hypothetical AWB + NFA...?

Don't gamble that new laws will be anything like past laws. Legislators aren't bound by any such requirement. Although the '94 AWB did not apply to NFA items, and it did not outlaw possession of "evil rifles" and magazines that were already owned, don't assume that would be the case with any new le...

Last ban did not touch licensed nfa items.
So a registered SBR AR would be fine but a regular AR could potentially be banned?

Re: Language. Always a tough subject

Filters are kind of childish but people should remember this and self-censor: "Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man." - Matthew 15:11 KJV It's best not to tempt the Lord with blasphemies, sexual innuendo, etc. I've been guil...

Re: Why Navy SEALs Hate the FN SCAR 17

SCAR 17s are overpriced but they're fine rifles for what they are. I like mine but I wouldn't pay what people are paying for them now.

The main mistake FN made, in addition to charging too much for them, is that they scaled up the 16 rather than starting with a .308 and scaling down.
