Re: Battleship USS Iowa (Heavy Pictures)

My brother served on the Iowa. His GQ station was loading one of the 16-inch guns.

Re: 12-pound lunar meteorite

true but lots of planets have moons, Jupiter has 67 and Saturn 62. unless they have samples from all of them to compare they don't know for sure. it could also be from one of the millions of comets running around out there. Don't even need "samples." Spectroscopy can be used to determine the chemic...

Re: Florida’s Primary Election and Gun Control Supporting Republicans

So, my state senator (Bobby Powell), a DEMOCRAT, voted NO on the Florida gun control law.

While my state representative (Rick Roth), a REPUBLICAN, voted YES on the unconstitutional law. As did my Republican U.S. representative, Brian Mast.

What is happening to my world?

Re: If I Only Had A Dollar...

A gal that worked for me back in 2001 was dating a guy who worked as a phone answerer/dispatcher for the 911 service at the sheriff's department in Hillsborough County. One Friday evening he came to pick her up at work and he and I were chatting about guns in the parking lot. He noticed the Spyderc...

My DIY Weathermeter Wind Vane Project

As many of us know, the wind plays a BIG role in long distance precision shooting. Reading the wind is a specialized, developed skill (and art). Temperature, humidity, and even barometric pressure also play a role in precision shooting. Fortunately, we also have technology to help us, such as wind m...
