Re: What gun store was this?

I’m not familiar with that area, but it was definitely the Strawberry grounds. The Sonny’s was 5 minutes away, but was closed, & across the street from the gun shop. The sign said there was a range, but I didn’t hear any gunfire. There was also a McDonalds, & Burger King across the main road. The ow...

What gun store was this?

I was in Tampa yesterday at the Strawberry Field Fairgrounds. I left, & was looking for Sonny’s BBQ that was a few minutes away. It was closed, but there was a nice little gun store across the street. Does anybody know the name of that store? GARY.

Re: I like revolvers

In my experience working gun shows, many first timers, especially women, buy revolvers, because they don’t have the strength to rack the slide on a semi. They buy either the Ruger LCR, or Taurus 85. A few buy the S&W. GARY.

Re: Excellent HK Customer Support Service

Better than that, I once had to call Rock Island to ask a technical question. I dialed the number expecting the phone to be answered by a machine telling me to press 1 for English, etc. Boy was I surprised when a human answered the phone. I asked to speak to a gunsmith, & he answered “that’s me, wha...

I thought the upper on a FAL is the receiver? It’s reverse to an AR15
It was a barreled upper with only the stub of the torch cut receiver. GARY.

Re: New to selling gun: Advice needed

I once sold a FAL upper [no receiver attached] to a guy at a gas station. Someone called the cops who showed up. When I pointed out to the cop that it was not a firearm, & simply an upper, he replied no problem, but you’re scaring people, so if the transaction is complete, please put it in your car....

Re: New to selling gun: Advice needed

For people coming from the south, I have done some “exchanges” at the Lake Worth Turnpike Plaza in front of FHP HQ. Also Publix, Dick’s, & SS parking lots, as they are near the FL Turnpike. All deals started here, & I’ve met some nice folks. GARY.
